It just dawned on me that my Traveling Shoes photo series has reached a standstill. I haven’t traveled (Home doesn’t count in my book) in… years. Such a difference from circa 2009 when I went some place new nearly once a month.
This summer I’ll be visiting a few new places around the midwest (Hello Chicago & Detroit). A goal I have for the year is to visit a warm beach. I don’t care where or how, but I need some warm ocean water in my life. I might resort to driving down to Ensenada. Who knows!

Isn’t this little fella the cutest? His name is Chopper and we were introduced while I was wandering around the germinating neighborhood of Highland Park’s York Blvd. with Tony & Jana yesterday. After we went to Schodorf’s for lunch, we explored the new shops that recently opened.

Dear Rainbeau,
I shot Chris & Craig of WeAreGiants in their natural habitat, Downtown LA. They needed some new portraits for their website. I think this one is my favorite.
It cracks me up how often these two’s outfits accidentally match. I guess when you spend every day with another dude something’s going to sync up… and if it’s not your period, might as well be your clothing.
