Sadie Hawkins - Small Touches
Nate & I spent a lot of time on the walls & other large builds, but without these small touches Sadie Hawkins wouldn’t have The Yacht Club’s classic nautical look and feel.
I like to call this “Memorial Day Parade Bunting”. Volunteers hung 6’ long bunting along both the bars for a large, simple, red white & blue statement.
The ceiling of the long corridor from the beer bar down to the secret Prosecco Pong room was covered in nearly 800 golden champagne bubble balloons. We had about 6 volunteers blowing up balloons all afternoon to make this installation come to life! It transformed what was somewhat of a dated space into something special.
We had these sailor collars sewn last year for the waitstaff, and were able to reuse them this year for all our bartenders!
Looky here: anniversary greetings on the mirrors behind the beer bar by Sarah, fancypants Stella glasses, and hand lettered labels by Mel on magnum wine bottles we used as a “Message in a Bottle” time capsule.
